LED Flood Array Systems

The Loctite® LED Flood Array System is a modular system consisting of LED flood array light source, controller, connection cable, and footswitch. The high output LED Arrays are designed for Loctite® UV/Visible cure adhesives. The expected life is over 20,000 hours with proper handling. Unlike traditional arc lamps, 100% of LED light output is within the usable cure spectrum of Loctite® adhesives. Each LED Array consists of individually reflectorized LEDs for creating a uniform curing area. The LED Flood Array needs to be selected according to the curing requirements of the adhesive.

LED Spot Light Sources

The Loctite® LED Spot Light Sources are available with UV/visible light output or visible light only output. These Loctite® systems offer high power, and portability, consistently curing many light cure products that respond to UV or visible light. Due to its unique LED technology, the Loctite® LED light sources provide instant on/off performance, consistent long life output, drastically reducing bulb replacement cost of traditional UV lamp systems.

The Loctite® EQ CL10 Controllers are UV-LED spot light sources that emit UV light at 365 or 405 nm. Choose from a Single or Quad Controller that accepts LED heads (lightguides) that are sold separately. The Single Controller can be operated in a continuous light output mode or programmed output mode where the light output intensity and time can be programmed. The Quad Controller can be operated in a continuous, timed, pulsed, or 10-step, programmed output mode where the light output intensity and time can be programmed for each separate LED head. The cycle can be initiated with the start/stop button on the front panel; a footswitch (included); or via a PLC connection with an external start signal. These LED light sources cause no thermal damage or harmful effects to objects being illuminated. Its low power consumption makes it an energy-saving and environmentally friendly light source.

Safety Glasses & Cotton Gloves

The type of safety glasses required for use with Visible and UV Curing systems depend upon the spectral output of the Curing system itself. Loctite® Safety Glasses have polycarbonate lens designed to absorb specific wavelengths of radiant energy into the lens to protect the user from harmful ultraviolet and visible light energy. While the primary need for eye protection is often impact hazards, many work applications also include radiation hazards including ultraviolet, infrared, and visible light glare.

Work Gloves made of cotton material will protect operator's hands from exposure to UV Light.

UV Enclosed Chambers & Conveyors

image

UV Conveyor Systems

These Loctite® benchtop curing conveyors are used to cure light cure adhesives and coatings. Choose from a conveyor that has a medium pressure mercury arc lamp which produces high-intensity ultraviolet energy in the UVA, UVB, and UVC spectral region or a unit designed to accept either a D, V, H or H+ 6 inch electrodeless bulb that will tailor the spectral output of the light to the curing application.

UV Enclosed Chambers

The Loctite ZETA® 7401 UV Chamber and UVALOC 1000 Cure Chamber are designed for use in a wide range of bonding, potting, tacking, and sealing applications. Because of their reliability and simplicity, both are well suited for most production operations. These units are operated by simply placing the assembly into the cure drawer or chamber, closing the drawer, and allowing exposure for the desired time.

UV Light Meters

image

General Purpose UV Meters

These Loctite Dosimeter Radiometers measure the UV Dose (energy) and UV Intensity of UV and Visible Light Curing devices. These Dosimeters are traceable to the National Institute of Standards (NIST). Units of measurement for the UV Dose (energy) are Joules per square centimeter (J/cm2) and units for UV Intensity are Watts per square centimeter (W/cm2).

UV Wand Meters

The Loctite® 7020 UV Spot Radiometer is a self-contained, electro-optic instrument designed to measure and display the UV power density (irradiance) emitted by a UV spot curing system. The units displayed are watts per square centimeter. Decreased radiant power related to the degradation of UV lamps, light guides and reflectors can result in declines in process efficiency or incomplete curing of Loctite Light Cure products. The Radiometer is designed to provide the operator with instant feedback as to the performance of the spot curing system based upon changes in the irradiance.

LIGHT CURE DISPENSE VALVE

The Loctite® Light Cure Dispense Valve 98009 is a normally closed, diaphragm valve that provides high-resolution stroke adjustment and results in consistent flow control and bubble-free, no-drip dispensing. This valve is suitable for all low to medium viscosity light curable adhesives. The valve has a small profile with a 0.9 inch diameter and 2.5 inch length. It is also a simple design which facilitates field repair.
