Binks Finishing System

From Paint Kitchen to Spray Gun: Air Power Delivers a Complete Binks Fluid Delivery Solution

A successful finishing operation depends on every component working together—from the equipment supplying the coating to the spray gun applying it. It also depends on having a knowledgeable partner available to support that equipment over the long term.

For a recently completed project, Air Power Manufacturing Solutions helped meet both needs, providing a turn-key fluid delivery solution featuring Binks equipment to support three combination wash, spray, and oven booths at a new manufacturing facility.

The assignment called for more than equipment selection. The project required a local partner capable of providing the finishing system and supporting it throughout its working life.

A Complete Approach to Fluid Delivery

Finishing performance begins well before coating reaches the part. Material supply, circulation, proportioning, application, and flushing all need to work together as part of a coordinated process.

Air Power’s scope included:

  • A paint kitchen and day tanks
  • Binks Maple pumps
  • Stainless-steel circulation lines
  • A polymer sealer delivery system
  • Binks RF2+ units
  • Gun flush boxes and spray guns

Together, these components established the fluid-handling and application infrastructure needed to support the three booths.

Building the System Around Binks Equipment

The Binks Maple pumps formed a central part of the project’s fluid-delivery equipment. Alongside the paint kitchen, day tanks, and stainless-steel circulation lines, they helped connect material supply with the finishing operation.

The system also incorporated multiple Binks IntelliFlow RF2+ units. The RF2+ platform provides multi-component metering, mixing, and flow-control capabilities, bringing an important level of control to coating preparation and delivery.

For manufacturers, coordinating these functions matters. Consistent finishing requires attention to how material is supplied and controlled, as well as how it is applied. Selecting the equipment as part of a complete system helps address those requirements together.

Supporting Sealer Delivery and Spray Application

The project extended beyond paint supply to include a polymer sealer delivery system, addressing another material-handling requirement within the finishing operation.

Spray guns and gun flush boxes completed the application and flushing portions of the equipment package. Including these components in the overall scope allowed Air Power to address the process from material supply through application and routine flushing.

That broader view is essential when building a finishing system. Each connection between components affects how operators use, maintain, and support the equipment.

Local Support Was Part of the Requirement

Equipment capability was only one part of this project. Long-term local support was also a priority.

A finishing system represents an ongoing operational commitment. As production needs evolve and equipment requires attention, access to a knowledgeable support partner becomes an important part of keeping that investment productive.

Air Power’s role in this project reflects that approach: understand the application, provide the equipment to address it, and serve as a resource beyond the initial project.

Put Air Power’s Finishing Expertise to Work

This project demonstrates Air Power Manufacturing Solutions’ ability to bring multiple finishing technologies together around a customer’s production requirements.

From paint kitchens and circulation equipment to proportioning, sealer delivery, and spray application, Air Power helps manufacturers approach finishing as a complete process.
